The "Surf & Snow" rules are simple: Whoever goes swimming is out, and whoever stays dry the longest wins. The race starts at 12:30 p.m. at the middle station of the Bergbahnen See. You will reward creativity in the Crazy Vehicle class!
All skiers and snowboarders who enjoy swimming can take part for an entry fee of 10 euros - with skis, snowboard or self-made waterproof vehicles. They will then surf until the ice water splashes, and the hopes sink in the 15-meter-long and 2.5-meter-deep ice bath and the teeth of the participant's chatter. The goal is to surf as dry as possible over the ice-cold water. After each round, the run-up is shortened until even the last one is in the water. The winner in the final round is the one who surfs the furthest in the dry.
And the best part: Euro 2,000 are waiting in the wings!
How is the prize money distributed? The Last Person Standing in each class gets a share of 1,000 euros in prize money. With the remaining 1,000 euros, the jury rewards creativity and thus the most unusual vehicle in the "Crazy Vehicles" category. Spectators will cheer on their favourites on site and exercise their laughing muscles.
